The British Government and Prime Ministers
Hello! Since I had nothing but free periods today i decided to learn how the british government works. As an American student, I've never been taught about how this process works so with the help of wikepedia I fixed this. I learned about MPs (Members of Parliment) and how the Prime Minister appointed. I also looked through a long list of british prime ministers and had an idea.
American students know a lot of presidents but how many british prime ministers do they know of? I myself knew about two; Gordon Brown and Winston Churchill. So how many did my peers know? I started asking this question.
I first asked my parents, not my peers but oh well. They knew of four; Margeret Thatcher, Tony Blair, Winston Churchill, and Gordon Brown. Then I asked my friend Shannon, who knew of Winston Churchill. After that I asked my lunch table; my friend Amy who knew of one person who almost became prime minister and then my friend Andrew knew of Winston Churchill. I then preceded to ask my entire art class, the question was asked like this.
Sarah: Can I ask a question of the entire class?
Teacher: Yes
Sarah: How many U.S presidents can you name off the spot?
There were a bunch of answers like they knew 20, 5, 18, ect. They also answered names like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Bill Clinton, George H.W Bush, George Bush, and Barack Obama.
Sarah: Now, How many british prime ministers can you name?
I heard a bunch of "None" and "Zero" and then quite loudly "WINSTON CHURCHILL!"
What can be concluded by this experiment? Well, you could conclude that Winston Churchill is the most known british prime minister among americans but i don't think I have enough people answering my question. So I shall continue asking people and update my findings later.

Dragons, Vikings, Merlin, New Tardis, and Shannon's Birthday.
How to Train Your Dragon
My new favorite movie is how to train your dragon. Its fantastic!!!!! I love it despite the main characters name is hiccup. It about vikings, dragons, and they play bagpipes in the back ground. One of the best movies of the year and all time. I've seen twice all ready and want to see it again!!!!!!!
Lack of Merlin
Eh, I'm annoyed because Merlin Season Three doesn't come out until this fall. I did get a new Merlin book! The cover is really nice and I've read the first chapter. Its quite nice. My dad got it for me in California at the same book store my first harry potter book was bought from. That makes the merlin book quite special.
New Tardis
There is a picture of the new re-designed tardis!!!! I like it, its very orange and a bit retro. its like Star Trek gone mad but anyways. I'm interested because apparently we get to see alot of other rooms in the tardis. I'm wondering what the doctor's bedroom looks like, just because i've never seen it before. I wonder what it would look like?

Shannon's Birthday!
In advance Happy Birthday Shannon! :D

Bree
I love Bree! Its such a great little fictional city. I recently re-read tolkien's description of the little city and it just reminds me why I love it so much.
I specially love the description of the green way, the great rode to the north that had been over grown with grass. It just such a brilliant little thing that you can easily skip over. Theres also this great description of a warm glow coming out of a door, which i can visualize.
Theres another lotr video game coming out! my favorites so far have been the battle for middle-earth and conquest. I have a soft spot for the old fellowship game, even though i never did get past the old forest the graphics and presentation was great. but anyways this new game is called the war in the north and surprisingly its rated M, which has never been done before. I'm assuming this is for blood and gore because i don't really think a lord of the rings game would start going into language, elvish swears?, and the orcs aren't known for getting it on. I've seen one of the trailers, its looks nice... and violent. I can't wait to see how the plot unfolds, because the war in the north was the downfall of the rangers.

Hello! And Some News!!!!!
Hiya! Heres my first post! Hurrah!
guess what i just saw on the t.v?
Your probably can't guess so I'll tell you.
I just saw an add for the old Lord of the Rings animation on blue ray. Even though the animation wasn't to great and it didn't even cover the return of the king, its nice to seem lotr back on the screen. I also know that there is a pretty good chance that the new Hobbit movie will be in 3D.
eh! my brothers annoying to me death and its hard to type. He also has pink eye and keeps trying to touch me. He has to much energy to be sick. He also keeps telling me the sword of king arthur was called vesuvius. NO! I keep telling him, its called excalibur! Vesuvius is a volcano, and yea... this annoys me.
Anyways, I have found a new thing to be obsessed with! Yay! Its called top gear and last night it had me on the floor laughing. I have also learned a word in finnish, a couple of facts about lithuania, and lots of cool facts about cars.
I've just realized my caps lock isn't working, which is rather depressing. I'll have to make do with the shift key.
thats all for now! I'll be back later with more. :)
